Hello! My name is Abigail Firestone, I’m a photographer and painter based in northern Virginia. My work leans heavily on a base of historical research, and is pervaded by themes of memory, nostalgia, and girl/womanhood.
I’m expected to graduate in Spring of 2027 with bachelors of the arts degrees in art and history, and a minor in digital studies. My work has been featured in UMW Galleries 2025 Student Art Exhibition, during which I earned the Award of Excellence for my Final Feast Table Triptych. I am currently focused on black-and-white film photography, textile work, and the translation of fashion history into contemporary artwork.
